Project Overview
The City of Dublin is constructing a new shared use path along the south side of Shier Rings Road. Once complete, the project will help create a continuous path connection along Shier Rings, completing the existing path from Avery-Muirfield Drive to Cosgray Road.
Path and Drainage Improvements
The project will improve pedestrian and bicyclist connectivity along Shier Rings Road by closing a gap in the existing shared use path network.
The project includes drainage improvements to accommodate the path and reconstruction of impacted driveway aprons. Drainage work will include the construction of new storm sewer pipe, structures and roadside drainage features to help manage runoff from the path and surrounding area.
Traffic Impacts
Construction may result in temporary lane restrictions, shoulder closures and driveway access impacts along Shier Rings Road. Access to nearby properties will be maintained during construction.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the work zone, watch for construction crews and equipment and allow extra travel time.
Project Funding and Coordination
This project is funded through LinkUS. The City of Dublin and Washington Township are coordinating on the project’s management and execution, particularly as it relates to LinkUS funding.
LinkUS is Central Ohio’s transportation and growth plan connecting communities through fast and reliable transit, safe sidewalks, protected bike lanes, modernized infrastructure and equitable development across the region.
